Symptoms, Causes and Control of Hypertension
High blood pressure usually does not cause symptoms and high blood pressure is often referred to as a silent killer. People with high blood pressure do not know much until their blood pressure is measured. Sometimes people with very high blood pressure can develop:

People usually do not seek medical attention until they have symptoms from an organ injury caused by high (continuous, chronic) high blood pressure. The following types of organ damage are most commonly seen in high blood pressure:
· Heart disease
· Heart Failure
· Kidney Failure
· Eye damage with continuous loss of vision
· Vascular disease that causes leg pain in walking (claudication)
· Aorta dislocation, called aneurysms
Causes of High Blood Pressure
The exact causes of high blood pressure are unknown. However, other factors can play a role in its development, including:
· Smoking
· Obesity
· Lack of exercise
· Too much salt in food
· Drinking too much alcohol (more than 1 to 2 drinks a day)
· Aging
· Family history of high blood pressure (inheritance)
· Having chronic kidney disease
Control High Blood Pressure
· Do regular exercise / yoga
· Eat healthy fiber-rich foods whole grains, fruits, vegetables.
· Avoid deep fried foods.
· Use healthy cooking options such as boiling, roasting, stewing.
· Limit salt intake.
· Use black powder, cumin seed powder, lemon juice or free spice to enhance the taste of food instead of using health.
· Avoid using whole milk and its products, instead use low-fat or skimmed milk.
· Avoid alcoholic beverages or simply have a glass of red wine.
· Avoid coffee and other caffeinated beverages and beverages.
· Avoid canned and stored foods.
· Always read the food labels and food ingredients you buy.
· Eat small meals regularly.
· Eat healthy snacks such as unsalted nuts, fruits, and vegetables.
· Never overeat.
· Reduce stress.
· Stop smoking.
· Drink plenty of water and healthy drinks.
